Michelle graduated as a Massage Therapy Practitioner with honors from Wellspring School for Allied Health in Kansas City, Missouri. Michelle has the title of NCTMB through the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers and is licensed with the State of Iowa Department of Public Health to practice massage. She also has continuing education certificates in Cranial Sacral Therapy level 1, Trigger Point Therapy-releasing lower back pain, FAST method for myofascial release around scar tissue, and Helping to Heal Yourself Techniques.
Michelle practices massage therapy using several different styles of massage and integrating techniques learned during her trainings to help clients achieve their wellness goals. Everyone is unique and different and no massage is ever the same. Essential oils may also be used, if ok, to give clients a tailored massage that is helpful to problems or issues they may be having currently.
While many people may think of massage as a luxury, it is much more than simple relaxation. Therapeutic benefits of massage continue to be studied, but research has shown it to be effective in: decreasing pain, reducing anxiety and stress, improving range of motion, decreasing carpal tunnel symptoms, reducing muscle soreness, boosting the immune system, relieving migraine pain and the list goes on and on. Michelle is dedicated to educating her clients on how to help achieve their goals with massage by adding it to their wellness routine for a more complete body, mind and spirit.
Michelle is accepting new clients and is looking forward to helping people achieve better health through massage therapy!
